Dear Ben and Jon, I have been listening to your podcast now for several months and really enjoy your chemistry and your topics. You two really seem to get along very well together and I have always looked forward to your show.
Your recent episode with Mick Montgomery has really been bugging me. For someone who has a podcast that purports to be for all levels of players, his views of LFR are both troubling and elitist.
I work 7 days a week at 2 jobs for 75-80 hours a week. My available free time is 4 hours Friday night, 4 hours Saturday night, and 6 hours Sunday morning into early afternoon. During those 12 hours I have to divide my time between household chores, family time, and WoW. I do not belong to any raiding guilds, nor do I regularly run content with my few WoW friends because I do not have a consistent time available to me. I LFR because it is the only option I can realistically participate in. Mr. Montgomery’s overt hostility to the existence of LFR was not only insulting, it was hurtful. Since the creation of LFR as a difficulty level, more people than ever are participating in end game content. Blizzard is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT in creating LFR and would be smart to maintain its existence in the future.
I realize that you have been bringing back former guests after 2 years, I only hope that it will be another 2 years before Mr. Montgomery’s return.
I’m sorry this got so long, but I needed to get this off my chest. I look forward to the next show.
